Knit 2 socks at a time (or 2 mittens) on 2 circular needles
1:  Cast on the total number of stitches needed onto one circular needle.   This needle will be Needle #2
2:  Slip half of these stitches to a second circular needle, Needle #1.
3:  Cast on the total number of stitches for the second sock onto the left end of Needle #1.
*Make sure you cast on to the needle end that is away from sock number one's yarn, coming from the ball.
4:  Slide half of the second sock's stitches onto the left end of the other needle - Needle #2.
Your yarn coming from the ball is in the same position for both socks.
